Dark messiah problems

Hey guys, I just bought Dark messiah of might and magic on steam, installed both singleplayer and multiplayer and I always have to run as administrator and use the xp service pack 2 thing.

First the game worked well, no crashes no nothing, only got a mm.exe has stopped working error when I closed the game, but now suddenly I make it to the two logo's at the start before the intro load, then the game crashes with the mm.exe has stopped working.

Now I tried to run the game, I make it to the two logos, the intro still doesn't show, but I get some wierd green screen and then I get the game working, HURRAY.. BUT after I finished the tutorial and I finished killing the cyclops at stonehelm, I try to go out into the city (stonehelm) and when it's loading, it crashes with mm.exe has stopped working, and I have tried this several times, Can you guys please help me?

Anyways, I'm using a windows 7 ultimate beta OS because somehow windows xp got all screwed up and I had to install window 7 ultimate beta version, but here's my dx diag:

Before, when the problem occured (When it kept crashing after the tvo logos) I checked my registry file, then it seemed normal, but now I check it and it says:

Let's start at the beginning.
X700 is low performance sm2.0. Why do you have maximum HDR in your settings? It's not capable for that.
The more, considering this is mobile X700, with a below [the game's] requirements cpu on a laptop.

Windows 7? It's not even out; you're running the leaked beta.
No drivers are ready for it; epecially not the more than a year outdated Catalyst of 10/18/2007.

Ok well, I run multiplayer 100% fine, and I ran singleplayer very good, made it to the epilogue, and your comment on my graphics card, well Oblivion came with my laptop and runs fine with it, and i doubt that the mm.exe has stopped working has anything to do with it.

So please can you see if there is anything else you can? Please atleast try man, I think this is happening to vista users all the time, it's probably the same problem.

Dark Messiah runs 100% flawlessly on Vista both 32 and 64 bit versions.

As i said, not only your hardware is below the requirements for this game, also your settings are wrong (some are too high and the resolution is weird (almost square), also the drivers you run on this beta OS are more than a year old.

Haha, no I understand, it's after all a leaked beta, and therefore hard to support as you said, well It's just that my computer got all screwed up one day, started freezing and I could barely start it up, (Was using Win XP) few times I was successfull but nevertheless it froze over again. My brother tried putting a new HD in my computer and installing XP again, but nope, the setup just froze lol, so he thought as last resort to try install this windows seven leaked beta in it and wham it worked, and it's running pretty good surprisingly, but anyways thanks for trying to help me a little bit :thumbup:
