When you install Steam, it asks for your login data (either new account or existing account). Once you put that in, your Steamapps folder should be created (or recreated based on your history) automatically, containing all your Steam games (that make your 'My Games' list in Steam.WarblazerTM wrote:I cant find the folder you want me to... One of the good things of Steam is that you can always uninstall Steam and delete everything belonging to it, then reinstall your operating system, then reinstall Steam and when logging in all your account files will be recreated again. In your case it looks that it has not been done.
This might have something to do with your dvd version of a Source game not willing to launch.
Don't get me wrong: it is possible to have the Steam version of DM installed next to the dvd version. But it IS a Valve\Source based game and also from the dvd version the Registry key with the game settings will be created under the Valve key no matter if you have Steam installed or not.
Download one of the games you have via Steam?.
I downloaded it a week or so ago and it was updated yesterday.
