The worst in my experience is this:

Selecting a sentence precisely from character to character always adds white space at the end. (Unless it is the last sentence, so there is no hidden code after it)

Very annoying when i have typed an alinea, and then want to change size (or color) of the first sentence (first line):

1. I select the first line
2. IE8 adds space behind it !
3. i apply size tags, or color tags around the highlighted text
4. IE8 immediately throws away the space it had just added PLUS the hard return that had been there, making the next sentence (next line) jump upwards one line, nose against the butt of the first line.
5. So i have to manually seperate them again with a hard return!!!!

Incase text from a webpage is exactly selected and copied, IE8 secretly includes a hard return (that was not selected!) that shows after pasting and placing your cursor behind a hard return (often with an empty line first and then a hard return).
But if you then paste new text before that hard return, the white space is lost again. So when creating / editing text you're bothered TWICE!
It is horror when creating a list within quote tags.

Also: any hyperlink at the end of a message would not get underlined; it needed at least 1 character (like a dot) after it to do the trick.

These problems are solved in Internet Explorer 9!
