Re: Blue screen
Hello, sorry to have taken so long. I left on vacation and know I'm in an exam period. I finally changed the graphic card, now I lag horribly (in some games I can't even read the writing). How long should I wait to test? Also, is it possible to do crossfire with my HD 4850 and my x1300XT?

Re: Blue screen
After you physically changed graphic card, you should reinstall the drivers.
So you should do it this way:
Uninstall drivers > take out card > put in other card > reinstall drivers.
No you cannot crossfire X1300XT with HD4850; you can only crossfire within the same product family.
For the experiment a week of daily useage should be sufficient. A week that includes gaming of course. If you get no BSOD's, you have the information you are after.

Re: Blue screen
Was that with the X1300XT? If so then it's not the videocard...
The powersupply.... reading this review makes it somewhat suspicious.
Is yours the (RS-500-PCAR-A3) model? If so, it's a cheap PSU manufactered by AcBel and sold under the Coolermaster brand. Could you open your case and check that?

I have a power supply you recommended yourself! I hope it is not suspicious... even so, I will check.

Re: Blue screen
Every recommendable brand can fail with a certain product once you experience it.. in the past i had a Asus P5W-DH motherboard slightly overclocked first kill one module of the set of Corsair Ram (within warranty so i received an identical replacement set), then after half a year when i already had built a new PC, it just died. I was able to determine it was the board because all the other parts turned out to be working. The board already had grown to become known for its voltage leaks...
In your case: you were able to test if it was the videocard by replacing it with an other one. So it would be helpful if you could do that with the PSU as well. Since you probably can't i look for other ways to find details. So i asked if

Also check Problem Reports:
In the search field above the start button, paste:
View all problem reports
then click on the View all problem reports link. What information do you get from there?

because that review site found out that particular variety of the model has large ripples in the current it delivers > translate as somewhat unstable. According to the Ncix page it does not have -A3 after the model name, but merely posting the link is not what i asked, i asked if you could open the case and check what you actually have inside, compared to the picture. Is yours the (RS-500-PCAR-A3) model? You don't need Bluescreenviewer to confirm you that you had a BSOD, you already know that. What does the detailed view tell you? Like the example on their page:lelorien wrote:I just had a BSOD, confirmed with BSOD viewer: same as always... what's next? : \ not much I think...

Re: Blue screen
I have the "RS-500-PCAR" model WITHOUT the A3.
My "problem reports" show only few game crashes I had a while back

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL ------ Stop: 0x0000000a
As i remember you had set the BIOS at setup defaults, correct?
OK, could you now change: DRAM voltage > from [Auto], change to the voltage that Corsair says in its SPD.
To check that, download and run CPU-Z, take the CPU-Z 1.53 64-bit .zip (english)
(64-bit, no install): No need to install it, just unrar/unzip, then doubleclick the exe.
Go to tab "Memory"' to see which DRAM Frequency you are currently running.
Then go to tab "SPD" to read which voltage belongs to that frequency. (maybe 1.9v)
Then go into BIOS and manually set that voltage.
When you are in BIOS make sure to check that onboard audio is still disabled.
I don't know the bios of your board, i'm sure it's not as extended as my P6T Deluxe V2 (huge amount of options), but there might be some settings to improve... maybe you could show some pictures later. But first try this with the fixed DRAM voltage, i hope it helps.
