It is not supposed to have a bios with that number.
The oldest they offer is P5Q PRO BIOS 1406 (2008/10/06 )
the latest is 2102 (2009/05/11 )

Hello. I just formatted my computer, lag persists. I also resocketed my RAM modules (in 1 and 3). Weird, the lag started a week after I changed the RAM around.

Lelorien, you posted a bios version that doesn't apply to your motherboard, i posted how they are really named. Could you reply to that?

You have the Pro TURBO that's what it says. I didn't know that...

0210 is the first BIOS for the board... they're at Version 0602 now (2009/09/08)

I don't have a floppy disk reader on my computer. Is there any other way to do it?

Get bios 0602 (ftp.asus.com)
You can use AsusUpdate, but some people say it's risky, because when Windows suddenly fails or the power goes down your board will be dead. I on the other hand have only good experience with it. Disclaimer: I am not responsible for anything might it go wrong.
Those people claim AFUDOS BIOS Update Procedure is safer.
It can also be done from an USB stick, made bootable.

If you choose AsusUpdate, here's how to:
  1. start the tool.
  2. select to save current bios. Save it in a New Folder (rename it to "MyBioses" or whatever) in My Documents or so.
  3. the bios you downloaded... first unblock. Then extract it with WinRar or 7-Zip into that same folder. It is called P5Q-PRO-ASUS-TURBO-0602.ROM
back to AsusUpdate:
  • select "Update bios"
  • select to "update from file"
  • point it to P5Q-PRO-ASUS-TURBO-0602.ROM
  • click Next.
    Watch the process closely as it goes automatically in steps. It will first set the bios to setup defaults, then erase current bios, then it will install new bios, then it will check the result, and congratulate when success.
First thing for you to do then is reboot and go into BIOS, and change the settings to what you had before (when applicable). So, best to go into bios and make notes of settings you're sure that were not setup default, before doing the update.

It's done! But the lag persists, though less then before. One thing my friend and I noticed: according to "Windows experience index" (an integrated W7 tool that evaluates and rates your compononents) my CPU is worth a score of 3.2, and his: 6.9. The thing is: we have the same exact cpu.
