Mass Effect 2 most horrible bug 1: airlift

• Shepard was standing too close to the large display i guess: sudden airlift onto it, in it... No escape. Reload quicksave.

Illium.

• The left door next to Eternity.
  
  
  
  
  Just went through the door, to follow my path left around the corner downstairs, i took the closest turn, sudden airlift of Shepard. Stuck there, no way down. Have no Quicksave, not even an Autosave, i just arrived at Illium, talked to Liara, accepted her mission. Walked around, and talked to some other people. Now i have to restart the level and do that all over again.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Later i went through the same door as above (next to the one to Eternity), to follow my path left around the corner downstairs. Just through the door (taking the closest turn), again sudden airlift of Shepard. Stuck there, no way down. Last Autosave to load was a previous adventure: just after the big final fight where Niket was killed, and before Miranda talked to her sister.

Start New Game (2nd game). First level (Lazarus Research Station)

• Sudden airlift in first level, after picking up the M-100 Grenade Launcher and from the same spot killing the drones, when Miranda says "Take the elevator down one floor". Shepard walks to the elevator entrance and... whoop up in the air to the top of the elevator block.
  
  
  
  
  
  Luckily i found a way down.

Normandy Crash Site.

• Suddenly you can -while walking- arrive on a place with no escape except down into the icy depth. Reload savegame.
  Starts where crosshair aims:
  
  
  
  I walked right up.
  Hmm... strange place
  
  
  
  What the...
  
  
  
  Oh noooo! Dead. Or rather: frozen fall, game just sticks here.
  
  
  
  Reload savegame.
• Walking along the edge i suddenly found Shepard lifted up a little onto an invisible platform, only direction available to walk was over the abyss, not possible to go back to the solid ground.
  
  
  
  
  
  No escape from the bug, except that luckily "Press "F" to place the monument" appeared. After placing the monument she is spawned onto solid ground.

CAUGHT IN TREEROOTS

• Zaeed Mission
  Good i save a LOT. You can get stuck in treeroots, and no escape. Only solution: reload savegame.

Justicar mission

• Killing Captain Wasea section, far end of last room, Shepard is suddenly airlifted onto a tall crate she was taking cover against. Normally this would make her an easy target, but now it gives an easy shooting angle to kill the remaining enemies.
  
  
  
  Even higher...:
  
  
  
  And then suddenly my squad spawns next to me at the same height in the air.
  
  
  
  But now?! There's no way down.
  So: reload savegame....

Justicar mission

• Trying to get off (or else i have to reload quicksave and do the battle all over again), i fall off at the wrong side: trapped between this crate, a larger one, and the wall.
  
  
  
  And my squad is still in the air.
  
  
  
  Ah, and when i turn around there is Miranda, loyal squad member spawned down next to me in the trapped location. Nope, no way out. Reload quicksaaaaaaaave........

Justicar mission

• Airlifted in last section of battle (where you enter the last room), and no escape down:
  
  
  
  
• Reloaded quicksave, done the battle again. And then exactly when i killed the last enemy, standing next to another crate, sudden airlift again. And no goddam friggin way down!
• Reload quicksave, and again!!!
  
  -OK, done it, killed everybody. Quickly saved before moving one foot. Phew!

Disable Collector Vessel mission

• Last part of the mission. On the way back to the ship, the first confrontation. Sudden airlift:
  
  
  
  Reload savegame.
• Sudden airlift while walking along an edge, then stuck on invisible surface over an area below.
  It starts exactly where Shepard is standing now:
  
  
  
  Same spot here exactly right next to Zaeed's underarm (holding the trigger):
  
  
  
  Seems no way down, but with minutes of manipulation i succeeded stepping back onto normal ground, before squad followed:

Help Garrus mission (going after Harkin).

• Somehow i managed to vault over/onto crates i might not be supposed to. Anyway i fell between the crates and a row of large metal objects. Could walk only through the rear part of them, but not escape nor get back up onto the crates. Stuck within the objects.
