  • SPACE FREEZE
    • Sometimes Space freezes: When after scanning a planet i "Esc" back to the "Start Scanner" stage and then "Return" to the System sometimes the Space (the moveable Normandy) will completely freeze except for the button "Enter System". Sometimes also the message "Press left mouse button to launch probe" still remains on screen (and at the next planet that message doesn't even appear anymore), so it seems that has something to do with the cause of this problem.
The solution is to Enter System again, and then "Return", or hit Esc (back to Normandy interior) then enter Space again and move on.

    • Related, possible cause?
And when that message "Press left mouse button to launch probe" doesn't appear anymore in the planet-scanning minigame, no freezing occurs at all; it seems the disturbing factor is gone.

    • Bump sound for nothing.
Flying through for instance the double star in Raheel-Leyya (system with the Migrant Fleet, help Tali) triggers the bump sound but no "Enter Orbit" button, so i suppose it's false alarm. The same on Mica, where you can fly the Normandy through an asteroide belt, the bump sounded at some spots where there was nothing. And yes: both systems say i did 100%, so i suppose it was nothing. :inv:

  • INTERACTIVE ICONS SHINE (or even trigger-) OVER TOO GREAT DISTANCE
    • The blue icons like "Open Door", "Use (this or that)" , "Talk to someone" a few rooms further away appear through concrete walls and floors. Of course with greyed out command for the distance is too great, but that makes it look even more messy seeing them shining through.
On the floor, a Door Bypass icon from the floor below.
      Image

      Image

    • Interactive buttons even WORK over too large a distance. I won't go into having to sprint to the Lab trying to avoid triggering a chat with Kelly... :-|-:

      Like in Help Jack mission.
A door above you suddenly opens when walking beneath it...
      Image

      Image

    • In Lorek Eclipse Base, when Shepard ducks for cover (Use Spacebar) triggering a Security Hack because its "Hack" icon is active over a long distance and also triggered by Spacebar! This is why it is rediculous that there is only one key (Spacebar) for hide / vault / use. :smh:
      Screenshots in this earlier post.
      -
    • Interactivity on remote. See where Shepard is standing (8 ~ 10 meters from the terminal). Still, she can access computer terminal from there. Imagine an attacker comes shooting at her, and i want Shepard to run and take cover (= Spacebar). Won't go: the interactive computer (= Spacebar too) will be triggered instead. :fp:

      Image

    • You can see through the walls where enemies are standing in a next room, their health, object to destroy etc..
      Like in Help Legion mission:
      Image

    • And so you are misled believeing this is an explosive container...

      Image

while in fact the explosive is the thing lying far away behind the iron box, its icon just was shining through. The third time i play the game i know that by now so i won't waste precious sniper ammo on it. :-|-:

  • UNFINISHED GRAPHICS
    • Stunned (by the bees) guy at Horizon with forgotten hairdo. Absolutely unimportant, but still weird. I imagine the designers being chased away from their desks under order: "Now stop it and go home! We're releasing today!"

  • SHEPARD'S SHADOW IN WRONG DIRECTION
    • Absolutely unimportant, but still weird. Sometimes Shepard's shadow falls towards the lightsource:
(lightsource on the left, shadow falls towards the left)
      Image

      Other example
    • Lightsource above and from the right, shadow falls to the right:

      Image

I don't actually know how game developing takes place, and how hard or easy it is to make light source and shadow correspond.

  • DISAPPEARED CONTAINER AFTER RELOAD SAVEGAME
    • Help Garrus mission, first part (just arrived at factory warehouse). Like most if not all bugs i report, also this one is replicateable everytime.
After shooting enemies, and before using the Bridge Control to lower the bridge. Made a Quicksave. Then reloaded that savegame. Walking back the track in search for maybe some ammo, a large container is missing and i can walk ahead over the abyss in the factory full of containers.

Where Shepard is standing, was a container. It is now gone.
You cannot fall down; an invisible surface covers the abyss.

      Image

      Image

      Image

      Image

Luckily i can walk to and fro without getting stuck.

  • MISSING GREEN OPENING BUTTON ON DOOR
    • Recruit Jack mission. I had died during the second battle, so i reloaded quicksave. After killing the Merc and guards, exit door would not allow to be opened, the green button had disappeared: dead closed. Good i could reload autosave from 2 rooms before that (just after start of releasing Jack). I wondered if the hacking PDA had something to do with it although i had done it successfully. After reload the earlier save and walking to the point where i left the game, the green door button was there even though i had not hacked the PDA yet.
Forgot to make a picture then, but it was this door:

      Image

  • MISSING DOOR
    • MSV Strontium Mule.
I had completed the mission. Then i realised 2 rooms i might have forgotten to inspect. So i reloaded Quicksave. Now this door was gone and i could walk through the button.

      Image

      Image

I entered the room and wanted to retrieve the credits from the standing computer but it was empty, no "Use" icon!
So i reloaded the same Quicksave again. Now the door was still gone and this time the button as well... But at least i could retrieve the credits and do all other pickups.

  • DISTANCE DAMAGE
    • At certain distance, aiming at a giant Mech you see its Armor/Shield/Health bar, YET shooting it with precious heavy ammo is a total waste because it doesn't hurt him at all.
... while other enemies like the big hunchback shooting bouncing grenades: aiming at it from great distance without "Armor/Shield/Health bar" even showing up you still effectively hurt it with snipergun.

    • Recruit Jack mission. At certain distance, aiming at an enemy you see his Armor/Shield/Health bar, YET shooting it with precious sniper rifle is a total waste because it doesn't hurt him at all. Can't be the distance: it is not far. Besides: the damage bar shows up, right?!
      Image

...while on other locations, distance shooting is just very precise and effective:
      Image

...like between the steps of a staircase; that's sniper rifle effective!
So it can be done! Then why is it failing so hard on other locations???

  • WALK THROUGH TEXTURES
    • Helping Miranda (Samara) mission. The forelast shootout before meeting Niket, the one where afterwards Miranda says "We can cut down through the cargo line".
      This container:

      Image

Turn a few degrees to the left, and the camera moves into the crate, that suddenly seems to be not there anymore:

      Image

Walkthrough. As Shepard suddenly slightly airlifts (compare Miranda's position), apparently she's pushed through an entrance:

      Image

      and Shepard is inside:

      Image

and out at the other side, normally inaccessable place:

      Image

      squad follows

      Image

Luckily, no problem walking back out of the container to normal ground.

  • Help Garrus mission (Citadel - Factory District)

    Image

    Image

    Image

  • Help Mordin mission
    • No problem walking back out of the "solid material" to normal ground either.

      Image
  • Walk-through crate with no escape.
    • Next to the Krogan Ambassador at Tuchanka. This one IS a problem; it only becomes walk-through after having a conversation with the ambassador (see next post) and Shepard is stuck IN or ON it. Luckily aiming the camera towards the ambassador and triggering the conversation again is the escape.

  • CONVERSATION WITH AMBASSADOR TRIGGERS 2 BUGS:
    • =1= Crate becomes walk-through or airlift
Go to the Krogan Ambassador at Tuchanka: Talk to him, say goodbye. Walk towards this crate and into it. Normally you can't, but after saying goodbye to the Ambassador magic starts.

      Image

Or even: sudden airlift. And squad follows.

      Image

Either in the crate or airlifted above it: Shepard is stuck here, no way out or off. Except luckily: talking to the Ambassador triggers her freedom again. (= turn around so that the ambassador comes in picture, with the icon to start a conversation, and press it)

    • =2= THIS BUG WORKS ALSO ON WREX:
If you have done dogfights (which means you have fed the Varren, which then means it will follow you around), and the last fight was lost by Urz... it will be in Fortacks hospital. The conversation with the Ambassador (or Wrex) always makes Urz suddenly be spawned out from its bed in Fortacks hospital to be present on the foreground in the conversation video. After you end the conversation with Goodbye, Urz's body has taken a 'lying on bed' position and in half comatose state (with a big blue square conversation icon pressed onto) it slides downstairs towards the dogfight pit! :vlol:

  • DISPLACEMENT BUG
    • Recruit Jack Mission:
Robotic Dog at the wrong side of the glass, outside of the building. Impossible to kill, hopefully no consequences for possibility to complete mission.
      Image

We are standing in the corridor; the dog is trapped in inaccessable space:

      Image

    • Displacement again: enemy stuck in wall.

      Image

      Image

He looks at me & my squad but shooting him does nothing and he does not shoot back. My squad sees him but is not alarmed. This is just before the final battle to free Jack. Because of the crappy combat system (what have they done to it?!) during that battle i die a few times, and walking back i see the stuck enemy is gone. So at least the system is smart enough to not let the player get stuck because of any remaining enemy that hasn't been killed yet.

  • STUCK ON TOP OF VEHICLES
    • Disable Distress Signal on Laena. There are several small spacevehicles stationed on a platform. Apparently player is not supposed to walk on top of them, but as a fps player inspecting every nook and cranny it's hard to avoid trying to walk between them, but instead you're ontop of them before you know. Luckily with some manipulation not hard to get off.
