- Control Panel > Color Management > Devices.
- Under "Device" (where your monitor is selected), tick the checkbox "use my settings for this device".
- Click button "Add..."
- select profile:
IEC 61966-2.1 Default RGB colour space - sRGB - It's now in the list. Select it, and click button "Set as Default".
- Close.
- Restart Windows Photo Viewer, should be fixed now.

New colour profile is now the ultimate fix!
Version 3 of the U2410.ICM file is out
The location of the colour profiles in Windows 7 is
C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color\
After you've made the new Betav3.icm the default, better delete the original one from that folder, to avoid confusion.
