MMDM multiplayer White Screen trouble shooting guide didn't

Hello I am having an issue with the Dark Messiah multi-player game, my single player game works fine.
My issue: first off, i can't even start the game via steam, it simply won't go, so i have to use the Multi-player shortcut with the big M.
So when i load up the game through the shortcut, it starts, and i can hear the sounds but the video isn't working, the screen just goes from black screen to white screen until the clips are done. And then i hear an error sound. when i tab out to look at it, it states in the Error! window: Can't find background image materials/console/menuMP_3d.vtf

I really would love any help i can get, I bought this game off steam for the multi-player part of it and it is a little disappointing not being able to play it.

note that i have already gone through BlindNero's trouble shooting guide, I tried the "Problems Troubles:" section =1=. but it did not work.

I bought this game off steam for the multi-player part of it and it is a little disappointing not being able to play it.

And your singleplayer game is the DVD version or the Steam version?

Because:

note that i have already gone through BlindNero's trouble shooting guide, I tried the "Problems Troubles:" section =1=. but it did not work.

... which of the 5 (A, B, C, D, E) solutions did you try? What exactly did you do?

First off, thank you for the fast feed back haha!

My single-player is the Steam version as well.

I tried the part D first, then when that didn't work I tried B which is essentially flipping them back around. I checked for the E issue but didn't have it. Then I went and tried the 2nd part of A to see if by some miracle it would work. I also tried downloading the binkw32.dll file you posted on there, just to see if my file was the problem. But that seemed to yield no results either.

I don't mean to be nosy or anything, but I was wondering what part you are from? I'm only curious because my girlfriend is moving to Holland in less than a month.

JeesAS! I just checked and suddenly had the same problem Something's changed in Steam on the background...

Here's what i did to solve it:

1. Move binkw32.dll from steamapps/*my account*/dark messiah might and magic multiplayer/bin
   to
   steamapps/*my account*/dark messiah might and magic multiplayer.
2. In regedit...
   [in the search bar above the start orb type regedit, then hit Enter]
   ... in the left side pane find and highlight the key
   [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Steam\Apps\2130]
   and delete it (press "Del" key on your keyboard).
   Close regedit.
3. Launch the game from within the Steam "Games" library

It now should work right away. Here it did.

I guess you had Steam still running while you were in regedit.
Could you try again?

1. Close Steam. Or reboot, but making sure that Steam is NOT set to starting up with Windows
2. In the Steam directory > move binkw32.dll from steamapps/*my account*/dark messiah might and magic multiplayer/bin
   to
   steamapps/*my account*/dark messiah might and magic multiplayer.
3. In regedit...
   [in the search bar above the start orb type regedit, then hit Enter]
