Sofar it is a masterpiece, not perfect of course. many crowbar doors where it doesn't work...
===
\The game goes downhill at the floating islands, and returning in the train. Climbing up, through the solid train wall to the red fuse receptacle (mechanical key)... here it feels as if the builder seeked to make an easy end to it all. Not the quality of the preceding game./
===
It builds up and up and up,
and than an ending like this. :roll:
not entirely a masterpiece then.
Oh wait i realise: it has not been building up to a climax at all, it was consistantly exciting and good but staying on the same level until it went downhill shortly before the end. The game lacks tension curve.

The running dog was stuck to one place, very easy kill for a start.
Control horror...i'm still in the first underground pool room, and you can get stuck there at several places. Like between the wall (that looks climbable but isn't) and the plate with a spiral under it. With stuck i mean: you have to reload savegame.
In the building, a jumplever not (yet) working...(?) i mean it's a jumplever and should work.

Hmmm... it is so totally different to the preceding game in the set, it required some getting used to.
After a slow start that seemed very unexciting, i'm beginning to like this one. I went exploring and found the rope unexpectedly, so this game's appearance of being boring (at the start), is only part of its ingenious quality i guess. :D I hope. :(
===
No. The game IS suffering a major flaw: pretentiousness. It's not a thrilling adventure, it is a vast area scattered with a few levers, fires, locks here and there, you are lost and wandering in the dark. That alone is not enough to make a good game; where's the "Tomb Raider adventure". There is no arcade. The person who made this doesn't seem to have a clue what makes a good game. :???:

Several times i launched this game to continue, and just as many times i lost interest and wanted to quit. The game lacks the magnetism needed to WANT to continue.
===
No, no... it's a disaster, i quit.

9- A Rift In Sedona by Chronicles5
It starts fine. Attractive game. :)
Well done, the explosion.
Something i don't like though:
It's a ledge. Lara should be able to shimmy all the way to the left as well as to the right of that ledge.
trcl_shimmyleftright1.JPG
But Lara isn't allowed to shimmy to the right... (an invisible blockade here:)
trcl_shimmyleftright2.JPG
i suppose it's blocked because it would make getting there too easy?! :???:
trcl_shimmyleftright3.JPG
Then do not put that ledge there! :smh:

And it turns out, that you backflip-grab the ladder behind you from which you then around the corner descend to the other side of the same ledge, then run around the pillar, and arrive here:
trcl_shimmyleftright4.JPG
where you can runjump/grab that ledge on the right side (in the picture: right in front of you)...
trcl_shimmyleftright5.JPG
...and then you CAN shimmy to the left around the corner all the way to the ladder from where i started here. But from there you STILL cannot shimmy back to the right, to where you just came from. :smh:

When it's obvious that things are made more complicated on purpose it's not such a good game anymore.

And it becomes highly annoying on conveyerbelts trying to jump against their direction, while between fires, and around corners, and lava in the deep! Let's admit: it doesn't work. It isn't even a challenge anymore, just rediculous. :-|-:
It's not worth it, i quit this one.

Yes: right in the beginning you have an idiotic timed run forceing you into a rollade of multi-challenges at the same time. Extremist stuff, who cares, not me.

Arghh! I can't stand it, the way it's put together with the railroad tracks high up in the air, no solid ground or any construction to support it... i mean what is that. :-|-:
Poor design, and sloppyness beyond average. I ended this game here:
trcl_sloppy.JPG
moving wild water surface UNDERWATER (yes Lara is swimming underwater here), and on the BOTTOM. Although the bottom is solid Lara's legs disappear in it, her upper body disappears in the solid ceiling. It makes my eyelids heavy, i want to go to sleep. :yawn:

13 Ghostbuster Vol 1 by Soul
This one starts with an explosion, in the jungle. The different mists that stay hanging are very atmospheric. That part is very well done.
But further on it is also sloppy, and messy looking.
The bird flew into the room and now is stuck in a permanent "flight" position inside the pole. It still lives and flaps its wings -without moving a millimeter, for eternity. :-|-:
trcl_sloppy_bird.JPG
A boulder that maybe should but didn't come down, and that looks solid but isn't:
trcl_sloppy_boulder.JPG
I have restarted the game 3 times, to get a fresh feel to it. But no, it is messy and ugly it is tiresome to the eye. I'm not interested, i quit.
Next!

14 Punk Heart by Mugs
If you jump right over the cooking machine, you fall through the open trapdoor landing on a burning tile so you die. The only way to NOT fall through that hole is to NOT jump over the machine but IN it. :-|-:
trcl_sloppy_in-machine.JPG
See, in the center: Lara is IN the sidepanel. Because there is no room to stand next to it.
From there i can jump over the trapdoor, further into the backside, and climb down.
The vent-cover functions as a ladder. But then the blue-white tiles take over that function.
trcl_sloppy_climb-down.JPG
Hmmm... would that whole tile wall be climbable then??? It turns out that NOPE: ONLY THE PART BELOW THE GRATING is climbable! :roll: And you exit like you would from a ladder: just next to the hot tile left or right, you step off.
.......................................
But when finally diving into the golden water, finding a way between the golden peacock feather textured walls, it feels good. You dont get much air easily but the way this maze is built up is also breathtaking otherwise. What a relief after the bunch of ugly levels i struggled with before this!
The way the environments are painted looks sublime. The tricky grab/jump to the chandelier... :thup:

And again: train rails, without support, just there, free in the air.
What is wrong with these people!?
I was just gonna say how well Mugs creates the interiors giving them a distictive character, an important part of the entire game experience. It still holds, but the rails in the air are silly.
===
After picking up the Zephyr wheel, on the way back. Caught in the structure. Not in the rubble but in the structure. No way out, only reload savegame. And then again at the same spot. Grr!
trcl_sloppy_structure.JPG
===
And all those green parts of buildings, why are they not solid?! Lara cannot stand on nor grab them, it's plain silly.
trcl-green-not-solid.JPG
Nor can she stand on the moveable box in this area!
Exploring the cave where the insect is coming from, you can get stuck in an animation loop between triangled slopes, you're not supposed to go there apparently.
===
The end with the boulder that has to roll to the yellow tile, i totally did not get that. I saved in between, and then you're screwed, as the boulder will not start again. What this level should have: a new boulder, so you can continue, would come in handy. okay?
Odd game.
It has several very beautiful locations, but overall i can't say it's a good game. It's like a promising but unfinished pre-beta.
Un_rate-able.

It's so good, so well done, i'm speechless.
At the moment the sound of distant thunder somewhere outside (of course i'm trapped in some complicated maze) is so strong, so beautifully done, even in this day and age of DX11 games i'm still more touched by the simple high quality of creation of games like this.
I'm still in its beginning but i already see this game is outstanding :thup:
