I notice on this Rampage Formula the same E8400 CPU needs more volts than it previously needed on the Maximus Formula! With the exact same settings. Weird but true.
The norm for me is having the setup "Orthos stable."
I could run the CPU @ 3.84 on 1.325 V for gaming. But in Orthos it would fail; within a few seconds. I bumped up the voltage to 1.375 and it would run fine for half an hour until it failed. Only with 1.4 V i got it 100% stable and reliable. Temps are at average 49 ~ 50 °C with a rare highest peak of of 53 °C
E 8400 @ 3.8 Ghz / 1.40000V
Orthos stresstest stable, with 0 errors in all tests.

Update March 2014: flipped the HD4870X2 out, replaced with one HD5870 coming from my workhorse PC (which upgraded with a single HD7970). Only one -although the Rampage Formula supports crossfire-, because the X-Fi soundcard in it is a PCI version in the bottom slot it would have to leave for crossfire or be replaced with a PCI-E version in the top slot. I don't use this PC for gaming anymore so i leave it this way.
