Well, I was going to go with 8 gigs of RAM because I figured that would at least be one thing that wouldn't need upgrading for a while, but according to Cougar Extreme support people there is currently alot of problems with 64-bit so they don't reccomend it. So I went for four, 2x2gb with another two slots so I can upgrade to 64-bit at a later time. The motherboard also has a dual graphics card slot :-D so I'll get another GTX when I can afford it.

It's vista home premium I'm getting, DX10 FTW :-D

So you mean to be buying for a future proof setup. But if you're not going for 64-bit rightaway, 8 GB Ram is useless (half of it), because of the 4GB memory address limit of 32-bit Windows (3.2 ~3.5 effectively in XP).
Secondly, the 8800GTX supports DirectX10, but since DirectX10.1 it is no longer future proof. Should have chosen for an ATI 3xxx series card then. Crysis looks awesome indeed, i played it 3 times on my 3870 @ high (with an edited cfg looking between high and ultra high) @ 1600x1200.
On the other hand, the only card that beats even the 8800GTX Ultra in most games is the Radeon 3870X2, but despite its measurable superior performance, the subjective experience of multi-gpu solution (Cross/X-fire/SLI) seems to be slightly inferior to the best single-gpu card's performance. So yeah, the 8800GTX Ultra today is still the fastest single-gpu card. But, like the GTX version: it's not futureproof.

True, but considering how fast requirements in games seem to climb, it's pretty hard for a setup to be futureproof for more than two minutes =p.
