I guess it has to do with laptop's typical powersaving feature: the Geforce videocard is shut down while you're in 2D; it should fire up whenever you launch a 3-D appplication, like: a game. Still, the Geforce card should show up during a dxdiag report though.

So i think you'll have to try and disable the powersaving feature. Maybe that happens automatically when you are not using the battery but getting power straight off the wall. Can you make sure your laptop is fed current from the wall please.

Then

1. Control Panel > Power Options > [Select a Power Plan] select "High Performance".
2. Click "Change Plan settings"
   1. Click "Change advanced power settings"
   2. Go to PCI Express > Link State Power Management. Set this to OFF

What? Shi, i don't understand, i even used a software to detect any older drivers in my notebook (Slim Drivers) and i checked for any update trough the control panel too.

Hmm, it was already off, i always use my laptop on the HIGH PERFORMANCE option and the GT too.

Could even be a threat to your privacy, and messing up your PC. Do you have the impression they did a good job updating your drivers? I don't. Let someone format and reinstall your OS, drivers, programs, games. I wouldn't even be surprised if the games will run rightaway then.

Well, i don't know if that helps, but i didn't use it to download the drivers, only to identify. I'm sorry, but my notebook works fine, i just can't play THIS game, because it is old, other people had problems too, they say the game has memory leak too, even all the other crashes.

I download the graphics drivers and the chipset myself, i only installed this program to see about the audio.

There's no logic in that. On a PC that's working fine, especially an "old game" would run rightaway without a problem.
And so does Dark messiah on any of my PC's, (and that's including a laptop). It did on XP, Vista 32-bit/64-bit, Win 7 64-bit both the Steam and Retail version.
Please realise the game is based on the Source engine, well-known and trusted for the Half-Life 2 series. It runs on allmost any PC.

If it doesn't, usually there's something wrong with the PC. Yours shows no GeForce videocard nor nvidia drivers, only the onboard chip, -and the audio drivers are from 1999.
Yet you start pointing out you "can't play it because it is old", you drag other people along who have an issue, memory leak, crashes... What's your point? Are you suggesting it's the game?

Yes the game has issues, like any other game. But yours is that it won't even start. And that's not one of the game's known issues, except for

• the binkw32-bug (you tried that) which was a Steam/retail mix issue and doesn't exist anymore since the Game Content Conversion in April this year..
• the Steam issues that arose around and after the Game Content Conversion in April this year, but that was solved first by a Beta patch, which later was implemented in the regular Steam

I can give you lowest settings that would even let the game run on your onboard chip. But i don't trust it would work, because outdated Audio drivers can cause the game to crash.

Open the .reg file in Notepad, paste this to overwrite:

Ok, i don't why the fuck my driver is that old, really, and to make things worse, i tried to update the driver using the device manager and the Windows tell me that the driver is up to date! I mean, how do i update this thing now? I tried to download from the site and i couldn't find the new driver, can you help me with this please?

How do i import back? I just tried to open as a .reg file and it said that the info was inserted in the registry, it's like that?

I don't read good things about that "Optimus technology". For example this on the Geforce forums.
If i were you, i would try to sell it asap and buy a decent laptop.

Here's a tool, might come in handy:
nVidia Optimus GPU State Viewer is a tool that shows whether the nVidia GPU is active or not. Might help to see if the game triggers the Geforce card or not.

In your Steam Library -> right click on Dark Messiah Might & Magic Single Player -> ‘Properties’ -> ‘Set Launch Settings’ -> Type: ‘/dxadapter=0’ (without the ‘) or ‘/dxadapter=1’ depending which one activates the nVidia Geforce card. Try both commands and check in the 'nVidia Optimus GPU State Viewer' which of your two graphics chips is being used.

How do i import back? I just tried to open as a .reg file and it said that the info was inserted in the registry, it's like that?

You 'import back' by doubleclicking the .reg file and then you should get a message that the 'info was inserted in the registry'.
