I should have DirectX 11, so didn't think I need to download 9. So that may actually be the problem.

alright, so DirectX 9 isn't the problem, but I found that msdia80.dll wasn't in Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VC so should I go with trying to re-install all of my C++'s ?

You need DX 9.0c 2010 for this game (and for any DX9 game). Since DX 10, DirectX is not backwards compatible.

Yes uninstall / reinstall the whole VC++ redist series, no other way to make sure that section is error-free.

While uninstalling the C++ redistributables, I went and messed around with DM for awhile and found in the console log in the main menu

Initializing renderer...
Unable to load sky sky_wasteland02

And

Bad pstudiohdr in GetSequenceLinearMotion()!
Redownloading all lightmaps

Would this have anything to do with the crashing? Also, looking at the Steam.inf file in the DM folder I found that it said

PatchVersion=1.0.0.0
ProductName=DMOMM
appID=(App numbers here)

So did steam not download a the 1.02 patch, and if so do you know where a link to the patch might be. Because Ubisoft seems to have taken it down from it's website.

Sorry, forgot to mention, but there was also in red

Unable to remove c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\dark messiah might and magic single player\mm\playerinfos.log!
Unable to remove c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\dark messiah might and magic single player\mm\npc_anims.log!

under "Unable to load sky sky_wasteland02" and "Redownloading all lightmaps". Though when I looked for the file I couldn't find either of them.

You're staring way too much into it. Forget those console logs.
PatchVersion=1.0.0.0
ProductName=DMOMM
appID=2120
Everybody has that. However strange it seems, the Steam version is patched.

You can see your own version: launch the console on the Main Menu and look at the line at the very top of the screen:

That MotioninJoy Virtual Game Controller, could you disable it as well? Let's see if it makes a difference when the game only gets to see keyboard and mouse.

*Sigh* Just seeing if there was a problem there, because it's been taking me awhile to uninstall all the distributables. Anyway, thought unplugging the USB would be enough, but guess I'll have to go to device manager and uninstall somethings for the remote to disconnect completely.

I also find it weird how I can't go to the credits without it crashing either. Tried going to some other maps as well through commands thinking it was maybe something a the start of the game, but it seems to crash as soon as I leave to anything other than the main menu.
And no luck with the remote completely removed either.

I feel like an idiot, but I did all the steps until step 6, do you know where msdia80.dll is usually placed? I can't see to find it in my Microsoft shared folder.

Yes the 64-bit msdia80.dll (size: 883 KB) should be in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VC

The 32-bit msdia80.dll (size: 626 KB) should be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\microsoft shared\VC
