-shrugs- Nothin....I don't get it....If the game says my system meets the minimum requirements to play, why can't I play it? Hahaha.

Hmm... could you post a screenprint of the full contents of your Assassin's Creed directory? Make sure that in Control Panel > Folder Options > View, "Show hidden files and folders" is enabled, and "Hide extensions of known filetypes" is disabled.

Wow, nice font you have there! :thumbup: Yes it's allright.

Did you make a shortcut to desktop from the AssassinsCreed_DX9.exe, and launch the game from that shortcut?

Maybe your problem is caused by the updater function; to workaround that you could try renaming the folder "Resources" to "XResourcesX", then launch the game again.

Thanks, the font came with a Bal Sagoth theme I downloaded
No change...I try starting it with every launcher each time I try something new and they all do the same thing-just quits after reaching 100%.
Maybe I'll just buy a 360 and try it there, lol.

Please update your nVidia drivers to 175.16: https://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_175.16_whql.html

No change...I even uninstalled it after I downloaded the drivers and tried again. I don't understand, lol.

Click Start > Run... type in
msconfig
On the Startup tab, untick all items. (don't worry, you can always later selectively tick them on again)
Reboot PC.
Try the game.

Also:

It seems in some cases (people reporting) that disabling the Update function fixed for them the game being blocked to run at all. Probably a firewall issue then...
Try blocking the Updater in your (or Windows-) firewall.
Or, disconnect your Network (Internet) Connection.
Or, just rename the folder "Resources" in the game's directory, by adding an "X", to XResources"... it should put it out of order as well.
I personally haven't had any problem related to the updater. I haven't disabled it and still running 100.1 version of the game.
