Oh i hate that shit. Ugly, and counter intuitive to the eyes. And not a small change, so, why oh why so much effort into the wrong direction.
Just my opinion.

If you don't like the new design you can disable it

  1. Just go to the search bar address bar and type "about:config".
  2. Select I'll be careful. (or something like that)
  3. In the next page you will see a new search bar. Type "proton" in it.
  4. In the result list, search for "browser.proton.enabled"
  5. Double click on it and now it will display false next to it. And with that it's done.
  6. If you also don't like the context menu, you can double click on
