Problem Getting Multiplayer To Start

Try this:

search your hard drive for:

winsta.dll
shimeng.dll
setupapi.dll
wtsapi32.dll

and copy them into program files\steam\steamapps\<profile>\half-life 2\

then copy the file engine.dll located in
program files\steam\steamapps\<profile>\half-life 2\bin

to the following directory:
program files\steam\steamapps\<profile>\half-life 2\

Should be a fix for Half-Life2, try to translate it to mm
X:\STEAM\steamapps\your profile\dark messiah might and magic multi-player:

search your hard drive for:

winsta.dll
shimeng.dll
setupapi.dll
wtsapi32.dll

and copy them into program files\steam\steamapps\<profile>\dark messiah might and magic multi-player\

then copy the file engine.dll located in
X:\steam\steamapps\<profile>\dark messiah might and magic multi-player\bin

(where "X" is the partition where you have Steam installed, if other than default C:\Program Files\)

Also, could you try:

• Steam menu: File > Settings >
  • Tab Friends: disable "Automatically sign into Friends when i start Steam".
  • Tab In-game: disable "Enable Steam Community In-game"
  • Tab Interface: disable "Run Steam when Windows starts".
• right-click the game > Properties:
  • Tab "Updates" > "Always keep this game up to date" selected.

You could also try to uninstall C++Runtime completely, then re-download and re-install.

ok that part is somewhat fixed now it launches and I get 3 white screens with noise but no video, and then it like makes an error noise and goes off....

err NEver mind I moved the files like you said to and now it all works thanks a lot man ^_^
