VR-Zone has gotten some details and photos of the GeForce 9800 GTX (G92-P392) card. It comes with 12-layer PCB at 4.376" by 10.5". This card is clocked at 673MHz for core and 1683MHz for the shader while memory clock is yet to be determined. The memory interface is 256-bit with 512MB of 136-pin BGA GDDR3 memory onboard. It comes with two DVI-I and one HDTV-out. There are two SLI connectors and two 6-pin PCIe power connector. The card employs the CoolerMaster TM67 cooler where the fan is rated at 0.34A, 4.08W, 2900rpm, 34dBA. The total board power is 168W.
VR-Zone learned that the fastest single card from Nvidia, the GeForce 9800 GTX (D9E-20) will be launched in late March, about 2 weeks after the 9800 GX2.

nVidia cards are a con and I prey for the day gamers understand that they havent really changed there code since they "brought out" 3dFX, and are starting to just fluke there drivers because there cards are STILL OpenGL backboned, because all they care about is how much money they can con out of people.

Have a look at there own Driver Notes for there latest cards... there struggling my friends!, there struggling because more and more games are supporting DirectX and there crappy little GForce cards are STILL running hardware OpenGL and Software DX... YES even the 8800's who clame to support DX10 - thats right they "Support" DX10 at a "Software" level, overlayed on a OpenGL hardware layer!!
Is this true? Because I find it hard to believe!

Where did you quote that from, am sheagar?
I have no idea if that is true and i honestly don't care, to me it's the result that counts! Usually i believe nothing from someone who makes 11 bad spellings in 2 sentences. :wth:

I took it from The Witcher's forum!
There's a guy there who's talking about this!
He also said that ATi Radeon HD 3870 XT is better than Gigabyte GeForce 9600 GT and that ATi supports DX10.1
See, ATI are Veterans at DirectX, its what they have been doing for a very long time. nVidia have only just brushed on that area. And unfortunatly OpenGL is dinosour code thats slowly being fazed out, because it hasnt changed in over 7 years, and Vista (SP1 comes out next week hopfully) supports DX more than GL.
I dont know what to say...
I also believe the guy is from Poland(or something) and that's why he makes spelling mistakes!

Well 9600GT is lower performance than the Radeon HD 3870, and ATi's 3xxx series support DX10.1 while curent nVidia cards don't, nor does a game exist yet that makes use of it.

Btw, also read NVIDIA's shady trick to boost the GeForce 9600GT

About the other thing: could be; nVidia has always been very strong at OpenGL support, while ATI Radeon has always been focusing on DirectX, but the way that guy puts it, i'm not sure about that...
