Well, it's running excellently on my VistaSP1 64-bit, AA enabled in the .cfg file. :thumbup:So, i finally bought the game.Interesting enough to start a seperate forum for it.
Having technical issues? I already had some, but my Vistax64 seems to be faulty (can't run the Ping Pong demo) so i'm preparing a format and reinstall.
I already just reinstalled my other Vista (32-bit) on my other (nearly identical) system. Later on i'll be able to compare. But first things first, and getting both PC's freshly configured without flaws.
The cause might be installing SP1. On Vistax64 i installed the standalone download. But it is not recommendable because it does not check for hardware compatibility. I'll wait till SP1 is implemented in the Automatic Update, in a month or so.
On Vistax86 last night i tried to install SP1 but halfway it resulted in a complete system freeze. Even in Safe Mode, happened the same. Oh well i wanted to reinstall Vista anyway. I'll stick with seperate updates and hotfixes till AutoUpdate contains SP1.
Problem solved. Thread's title changed.

Re: Vista SP1/DX10.1 and Assassin's Creed
If you have a HD3870 (like me), enjoy DX10.1 on this game, and when the patch comes out don't install it.
